Juan Pablo, Azpilicueta’s elder brother, was a soccer player and was born in 1980. He played only in the lower league as a midfielder.

Pablo has moved into management since retiring; he most recently worked as CD Subiza’s manager in Spain’s Tercera División.

Cesar wedded Adriana Guerendiain, his longtime lover, in June 2015, and the couple is the parents of two daughters and one son. Martina, the couple’s first child, was born to Adriana in March 2014.

Cesar started his career as a forward before switching to the midfielder, and throughout both his club and international career (senior and youth), he appeared in several positions, including center-back and central midfielder.

He is a product of hometown club CA Osasuna’s youth system. He made his La Liga debut on 8 April 2007 in a 0-2 away loss against Real Madrid while still registered with the reserve team.

On September 25, 2012, Azpilicueta made his League Cup debut, starting in a 6-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.

He participated in his first Premier League match, replacing Branislav Ivanovic in a 4-1 victory over Norwich City at Stamford Bridge.

On December 13, 2016, he agreed to a new, three-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea that would keep him with the team until 2020.

The 2021 FIFA Club World Cup Final, which was Ceasar’s second FIFA Club World Cup Final, took place on February 12, 2022, and he won the trophy.

Azpilicueta was the first and only Chelsea player to have won each major prize at the club with the addition of this trophy, and the UEFA Super Cup won just before.

Furthermore, he extended his contract with Chelsea to 2024 on August 4, 2022.
