However, the Gators were persuaded to the NCAA Tournament but got defeated by the BYU Cougars team in the first round.

In the 2010-11 season, Parsons scored 11.3 points and 7.8 rebounds in about 34.1 minutes per game. Thus, his performance helped lead the Gators to the best regular-season record in SEC.

Houston Rockets

On December 18, 2011, Parsons signed with the Houston Rockets of the NBA.

Parsons became a restricted free agent after the 2013-14 season with Houston Rockets.

Atlanta Hawks

Parsons was traded to Atlanta Hawks for Solomon Hill and Miles Plumlee on July 6, 2019.

After that, Parsons was whacked by a drunk driver, leaving him with a concussion and damage. However, he had appeared in five games with the Atlanta Hawks before the horrible collision.

On January 20, it was declared that Parsons’s injuries included a traumatic brain injury and other complexities that could be career-ending damage.

Then, Parsons was waived by Atlanta Hawks on February 5.
