Charles A. Bediako Jr. was born on March 10, 2002. He is a Canadian-born player who played collegiate basketball for Alabama Crimson Tide.

He played in 70 games, starting 67 of them, and averaged 6.6 points per game.

The 22 year old stands seven feet tall.

Bediako started his basketball career at his high school, Ridley College, before transferring to Andrews Osborne Academy in his junior year.

After that, he moved to IMG Academy for his senior year, averaging 13.2 points and 12.7 rebounds per game.

He is showing promises to be one of the best players in the NBA; let’s see how his journey will fare.

He was born to his father, Charles Bediako Sr., after whom the player was named, and his mother, Joyce Asante.

The couple has three kids, two sons, Jaden, Charles, and one daughter Jada.

Bediako has a very closely-knit family, and his mother, brother, and sister seem to be over six feet. 

Charles’s elder brother, Jaden, also played basketball. He attended Ridley College and committed to play collegiate basketball at Santa Clara University.

Jaden is the first in the family to get a bachelor’s degree, indicating that both of Charle’s parents did not attend college. 

The eldest sibling has not only inspired his young ones in academics but also in basketball.

He has recently signed a contract with the AOK sports management company, a full-service basketball management company based in Toronto.

On the other hand, Charle’s sister Jada is also a collegiate basketball player currently committed to the Georgia Tech Centre women’s basketball team.

Jada is the youngest in the family, being born on May 18, 2005, and already standing at an impressive height of 192cm or 6’4″.

Charles Bediako Injury 

In the February of 2023, Bediako suffered a slight knee injury against Auburn. The news was revealed by Alabama men’s basketball coach Nate Oats.

Despite the injury, Bediako played 28 minutes and contributed six points, five rebounds, and two blocks.

He had suffered the injury during the game, according to Oats. Additionally, the coach had termed it only a “day-to-day and minor” and nothing to worry about.

Until then, Bediako had been a vital player for Alabaman, starting all 25 games.

He is well-known for his defensive abilities, and till that game, he averaged 1.6 blocks per game.

However, the uncertainty of his availability for future games, including the top-10 showdown with Tennessee, made it a very tense moment for him and the team.

After recovering from the injury, he showed a more ferocious side of his gameplay. Proving that his hunger to become one of the best could not be dwindled down by some slight injury.
