The NFL guard Kyle Long was born on December 5, 1988, in Ivy, Virginia, United States, to the Super Bowl XVIII champion Howie Long and Diane Addonizio on March 28, 1985.

The middle child of his parents, Kyle’s childhood was spent in affluence, given the fact that his father was a star player of his time.

HE grew up along with his two brothers, Chris Long and Howie Long Jr. both of whom are associated WITH football.

Chris played in the NFL for 11 seasons and is two times Super Bowl champion, and Howie Long Jr. is a scouting assistant and personnel assistant for the Raiders.

Kyle left FSU following DWI charges in 2009 and enrolled at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California, in 2010.

The following year Kyle transferred to the University of Oregon and played for the Oregon Ducks football team.

With this selection, he became the first guard to be drafted by the team in the first round since Roger Davis in 1960.

Kyle started the 2013 season opener against the Bengals at right guard. This made him the first rookie in the team’s history to start a season opener in the Super Bowl era at that position.

He also received three consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2013 to 2015.

On September 7, 2016, Kyle and Bears agreed on a four-year contract extension.
