Thomas (fully named Christian Patrick Thomas) was born on May 26, 1992, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, under the star sign of Gemini. Well, he is one of the children of Mrs. Lori Thomas and Mr. Steve Thomas.
Additionally, he has a sister named Lauren Thomas. As a matter of fact, Christian grew up with his NHL father, Steve Thomas, and hence, commenced playing at the early age of four.

Junior Days
Before getting onto the professional field, Christian Thomas initially played on the junior level with the OHL London Knights.
Well, he entered the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2008 as the 13th overall selection through the priority selection.
In due course, the Knights traded him to the Generals in the middle of the season. With both teams, Christian bagged four goals each. Later, moving on to the next season with the Generals, he bagged 41 total goals.

Professional Days
On May 19, 2011, Christian Thomas made his professional debut with the New York Rangers. However, he only played his first professional game on April 13, 2012, with the Connecticut Whale.
Well, with the Connecticut Whale, Christian had only one assist and one goal. Following that, he then returned to play with the New York Rangers. Furthermore, he only had his NHL debut on February 23, 2013, against the Montreal Canadiens in Montreal.
Yet again, he returned to the Whales after the debut and played 73 games. During it, he maintained 19 goals and 16 assists. After moving to the Rangers, they traded Christian to the Montreal Canadiens in 2013.
After his NHL debut after a long time, Christian only posted his foremost NHL goal on February 12, 2015, against Edmonton Oilers in Montreal, Quebec, at the Bell Centre. By the year-end, the Canadiens also traded him to the Arizona Coyotes.

Well, he signed a year deal with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, which was an affiliate to the Pittsburgh Penguins. He then signed a year deal with Swedish club Rögle BK more tenure ahead in 2018.
Signing with the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) became his initial contract abroad. However, just four months later, he left SHL and signed with Russian outfit Traktor Chelyabinsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
During his tenure at the KHL, Christian played 20 games in total, where he posted two goals and 3 points. After 2020, he then joined the SC Bern of the National League (NL).

In the international arena, Christian Thomas represents the team Canada. One of his early international debuts commenced at the 2010 IIHF World U18 Championships, where he posted two goals and one assist in six games.
