He professionally rode from 198 to 2013 and competed for the US Postal Service, Liberty Seguros, Team SCS, and Garmin-Sharp squads.

He booked several wins throughout his career, including Tour de France (2011) and Giro d’Italia (2008 and 2012) in the Grand Tours.

Nonetheless, his professional career was a big success, and following his retirement, he started working as a cycling analyst for NBC Sports in 2014.

How Their Lives Changed After The Birth of Their Kids?

Christian, along with his wife, had moved to Girona, Spain, and there he used to hang out with their friends.

However, after the birth of their first child, Christian started self-reflecting on his behavior.

He started asking himself if all of his time away from home was worth it and wondered how Uma would see his career working for others.

The changes were beyond the bike. “He’s wearing button-up shirts from Barneys and looks much sexier, much more confident,” she said.

“It’s like he’s grown up all of a sudden. He’s much more serious now that he’s a dad.”
