The sports world is saddened by the sudden death of former collegiate football player Cody Ince.
Cody John Ince, aged 23, passed away unexpectedly at his residence near Grantsburg, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
He was born on December 18, 1999, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, to his parents, Tammy and Marty Ince.
The 6 feet 5 inches, 260 lbs offensive line was a graduate of Unity High School and the University of Iowa.

The former college footballer was found dead on July 15 at his home, whose cause of death is yet to be revealed.
Cody is survived by his fiancé, Olivia Tucker, his parents, Tammy and Marty Ince, and his sister Carly Ince.
Moreover, he was also loved by his maternal grandparents, Lola Royer, and Betty Ince, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Eugene Ince, Les Royer, Gary Vandelinde, and his cousin, Adam Peterson.
For his friends and followers, Cody’s family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM, followed by a continued celebration at the BrowTine Event Center located at 1361 100th Street in Amery, Wisconsin.
Cody Ince Was A Remarkable Player and Accomplished Individual
Cody excelled as a dedicated student-athlete during his time at The University of Iowa.
He joined the university in 2018 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies in 2021.
Alongside his athletic pursuits, he gained practical experience in various fields such as construction, concrete work, operating small tractors and skid steers, and maintaining general grounds.
His involvement extended beyond sports, as he actively participated in the National Honors Society and contributed over 100 hours of community service as a student-athlete in high school.
Cody’s exceptional athletic abilities led him to receive numerous accolades, including being recognized as an all-conference, all-region, and all-state athlete in multiple sports.
Additionally, he was honored with the prestigious all-state academic award for his outstanding academic achievements.
