10) BYU Cougars Football

2020 Record: 11-1 (2nd of 128)

Starting from the bottom of our list is BYU Cougars Football, which stands 11th in the final AP Poll. They had only a single champion title back in 1984.

Back as the Cougars lost their second-best quarterback, not everyone thought that they would land even in the top-25 rankings.

They have a new coordinator this year, Mike Tressel. Additionally, their team is led by defensive end Myjai Sanders, cornerback Coby Bryant, and linebacker Darrian Beavers.

Well, they stand 8th in the Final Poll and their only two championship titles days are from the later 1960s.

7) Georgia Bulldogs

2020 Record: 8-2 (16th of 128) 

To date, Georgia Bulldogs has bagged six championship titles, making them one of the best college football teams in the states. However, it was all the talks in the 90s, and they are having no talks of it right now.

Also, they are at a loss with their star receiver, George Pickle, as he is on the injured list.

Besides, they do have a fine squad filled with quarterback JT Daniels, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, tight end Darnell Washington, and freshman Adonai Mitchell.

6) Texas A&M Aggies

2020 Record: 9-1 (6th of 128)

For Texas A&M, their biggest concern in 2021 will be building their offensive line. Talking about their national titles, they do have three, but all as old as the tale.

Back to their 2020 review, they featured 7 home, 4 away, and 1 neutral game.

Some of their key factor players in the game include OL Jahmir Johnson, WR Shadrach Banks, ATH Dreyden Norwood, DE Shemar Turner, DE Tunmise Adeleye, G Bryce Foster, CB Elijah Blades, and LB Ke’Shun Brown.

5) Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma does depict a good share of players on the team. Last year they set a league football record with 28 first-team selections. It did stand as the most by a football program in the league’s 25-year history. 

In the meantime, they feature three athletes with a 4.0 point grade. They were Matt HembroughBrady Pohl, and Jake Schultz. 

4) Notre Dame Fighting Irish

2020 Record: 10-2 (12th of 128)

By the end of the last year, Notre Dame stood 58th in the FBS in passing offense (237.4 yards) while 41st in yards per attempt (7.9). This season, they have been looking forward to replacing four starting offensive linemen.

As for their squad, they have their former tailbacks Kyren Williams and Chris Tyree, tight end Michael Mayer and receiver Kevin Austin Jr.

3) Clemson Tigers

Currently, their sophomore quarterback Taisun Phommachanh is on the injured list; hence, Hunter Helms and Billy Wiles will be in the position. 

To be honest, last season they did have disappointing gameplay. This season, the Tigers are set with young skills on the offensive line.

But is it enough to position them as one of the best college football teams? Only time can tell. 

2) Ohio State Buckeyes

2020 Record: 7-1 (8th of 128) 

This season Ohio State Buckeyes will feature RB TreVeyon Henderson, DE Jack Sawyer, WR Emeka Egbuka, QB Kyle McCord, WR Marvin Harrison Jr., and other notable names. 

To date, they feature eight national championship titles along with 41 conference championships. Last season too, they starred as the finalist for the national title. 

1) Alabama Crimson Tide

(Athletic Director: Greg Byrne, Head Coach: Nick Saban)

2020 Record: 13-0 (1st of 128) 

Even though the Crimson Tode lost the six first-rounders during the NFL Draft, they present a fine squad.

Their key additions for this season include OT Tommy Brockermeyer, OT J.C. Latham, OLB Dallas Turner, DT Damon Payne, CB Ga’Quincy McKinstry, WR Jacorey Brooks, and WR Agiye Hall. 

With their conference record of 11-0, they also depict an average of 48.5 points per game.
