Coleman Hawkins, hailing from Antelope, California, is a prominent American college basketball player.

He is a key asset for the Illinois Fighting Illini in the highly competitive Big Ten Conference.

His basketball journey traces back to his formative years at Antelope High School, where he initially honed his skills.

Recognized as a formidable force on the court, Hawkins, a three-star recruit, decided to commit to Illinois for his collegiate basketball career.

Despite enticing offers from esteemed institutions like Rutgers, San Diego State, Marquette, and USC, Hawkins chose to don the colors of the Fighting Illini.

Ashley, the eldest of the Hawkins sisters, paved the way for her siblings as a standout player at Vincennes University from 2012 to 2014.

Her skills and dedication caught the attention of the University of Evansville, where she continued her collegiate career from 2014 to 2017.

As a proud Purple Ace, Ashley Hawkins became a valued team member and earned recognition as a letter winner at the university.

Following in her sister’s footsteps, Taylor Hawkins made a mark on the court during her time at Vincennes University (2014-2016) before transferring to Wiley College in Texas.

Taylor contributed to the Wiley women’s basketball team from 2016 to 2018 and transitioned seamlessly into coaching.

Likewise, her coaching journey began as an assistant at Central Wyoming College (2018-2019) and Westcliff University (2019-2020).

Currently, she serves as the director of operations for the Texas Southern women’s basketball team, adding another chapter to the Hawkins family’s basketball legacy.

The youngest of the Hawkins sisters, Bailey, began her college basketball career at the junior college level with the College of Southern Idaho from 2017 to 2019.

Her versatility on the court was evident as she averaged 3.9 points and 4.6 rebounds during her two seasons in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Bailey continued her collegiate journey at NCAA Division II Newman University from 2019 to 2021 in Wichita, Kansas, before concluding her career at Westcliff University in Irvine, California.

Bailey Hawkins showcased her skills in her final season, averaging 13.3 points and 10 rebounds in 2021-22.

While Bailey Hawkins may have hung up her playing shoes, her commitment to athletics persists.

As a Boise State athletics department graduate assistant, Bailey remains deeply connected to the sports world.

The patriarch of the Hawkins family, Rodney Hawkins, hails from the basketball-rich city of Chicago.

His basketball journey began at Colby Community College in Kansas, where he played two seasons.

Later, Rodney donned the San Diego State jersey, showcasing his skills from 1986 to 1988.

Notably, he proudly wore the No. 23 jersey at SDSU, leaving his mark on the court.

Rodney Hawkins’ basketball roots trace back to his uncle, the legendary Tom “Tommy” Hawkins.

A standout player for Notre Dame from 1955 to 1959, Tommy was a trailblazer as Notre Dame’s first Black All-American.

His impact reached even further when the Minneapolis Lakers selected him at No. 4 in the 1959 NBA Draft.

Tommy played for the Lakers from 1959 to 1962 and 1966 to 1969, with a stint with the Cincinnati Royals from 1962 to 1966.
