Connor Jackson Zilisch’s parents’ proud moment of watching him win his sixth Xfinity race quickly turned into concern.

Born on July 22, 2006, he is a talented American race car driver from Charlotte, North Carolina.

On August 9, 2025, 19-year-old NASCAR Xfinity Series driver for JR Motorsports won the Mission 200 at Watkins Glen International.

He led 60 of the 82 laps, showing dominant form on the same track where he earned his first Xfinity win last year.

After the race, Zilisch attempted to climb out of his car to celebrate in Victory Lane.

While stepping onto the roof and window frame, his foot got caught in the netting, causing him to slip and fall hard onto the pavement.

He was briefly unconscious, then treated by medics and taken to the infield care center, and later transported to a local hospital.

Zilisch suffered a broken collarbone but no head injury. He was awake and alert when he was loaded into the ambulance.

His father, Jim Zilisch, confirmed he was out of danger and even joked online:

Silver lining. Pooping himself is no longer his most embarrassing moment.

Connor Jackson Zilisch’s Parents Supported His Racing Journey From Karting to National Wins!

Connor Zilisch was born to Jim Zilisch and Janice Kerr in Charlotte, North Carolina.

His father, Jim, has a strong background in racing and has been a constant presence in Connor’s career, often attending races, sharing updates on social media, and helping manage his schedule.

His mother, Janice, was a top-level gymnast who competed for the Canadian national team and won multiple NCAA championships in the late 1980s.

She was also named the Southern Conference H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1990.

Jim and Janice met in the early 2000s, married shortly after, and have supported Connor’s racing journey since he began karting at age five.

Connor is their only child, and both parents have played active roles in nurturing his talent and keeping him grounded through his rapid rise in motorsports.

After Connor’s fall in Victory Lane at Watkins Glen on August 9, 2025, his parents responded with a mix of concern and humor.

While medics treated Connor for a broken collarbone, his father Jim lightened the mood by joking on social media.

The comment quickly went viral among fans, showing the family’s ability to stay positive even in challenging moments.

Both parents were present at the track and ensured Connor received immediate care.

Their calm and supportive response helped reassure fans and the racing community that Connor was recovering well and would be back once healed.
