The English professional rugby union player Courtney Lawes and his wife Jessica have been married since 2016.
Jessica has been very supportive throughout the highs and lows of her beau’s rugby career.
In 8 years of their conjugal life, the lovely couple has become parents to four children.
While Courtney is busy on the rugby field and Jessica in her entrepreneurial pursuits, they balance their work and family life equally.
Courtney Lawes, born to a Jamaican father and an English mother, received his education at Northampton School for Boys.
His debut for the Northampton Saints took place in October 2007 when they faced Esher in National One.
In March 2010, Lawes played a significant role in the team’s victory over Gloucester, securing the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
Moreover, the athlete played a pivotal role in helping the Saints clinch both the Premiership and European Rugby Challenge Cup titles in 2014.
They triumphed over Bath at Cardiff Arms Park to claim the Challenge Cup and followed it up by defeating Saracens the following weekend, securing their first-ever Premiership title.
In the 2016/17 season, Lawes was nominated for the Saints Supporters’ Player of the Season award, although he narrowly missed out to his teammate, Louis Picamoles.
Additionally, he has represented his country internationally, for both England and the British & Irish Lions.
Courtney Lawes Wife, Jessica Devaney
Courtney Hawes has been married to long-time girlfriend Jessica Devaney for more than 8 years.
The pair exchanged their wedding vows on July 16, 2016, and are parents to four children.
Their four children are named Nelly (birthday September 29), Teddy (born on April 19, 2015), and twins Hugo and Otto (born on December 28, 2017).
Unfortunately, Jessica expresses concern about their kids following in their father’s rugby footsteps.
She stated, “I don’t know if I would want them (the children) to play rugby. I would be rushing onto the pitch to tell them to stop.”
On the other hand, Courtney has a different perspective and would love their children to pursue rugby.
Jessica Lawes, a property developer and blogger, balances her roles while running a property development company and co-founding a mummy blog.
She studied at Middlesex University and pursued classical dance in London for three years before her first pregnancy.
Upon moving to Northampton and settling with her now-husband, she ventured into property development.
It was during this time that she met her business partner, Lauren, and together, they established The Mum Club.
The Mum Club
The Mum Club, founded in 2016 by Lauren Webber and Jessica Lawes, arose from their frustration with women’s lack of dedicated support during motherhood.
Their goal was to create a space that genuinely focused on women, addressing a gap they observed in existing baby-centric groups.
The Mum Club is a community where women can connect, share, learn, discuss, and foster genuine, supportive relationships.
Over time, The Mum Club has become one of the UK’s foremost event companies for women who are also mothers.
