On Saturday, Oregon State’s Damien Martinez made history, tying the school record with four rushing touchdowns in a single game.

His outstanding performance earned him an honorable mention for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose weekly award on Tuesday.

Martinez, hailing from Lewisville, embodies Texan connections, recognized for roots, school ties, or high school attendance in the state.

During the game against Stanford, the sophomore ran for 146 yards, achieving his 11th career 100-yard game and surpassing 1,000 yards for the season. With a total of 1,024 yards, he secured the 18th 1,000-yard season in Oregon State history.

Additionally, he surpassed 2,000 career rushing yards, ranking 13th in Oregon State University’s all-time records with 2,006 yards.

Martinez scored four touchdowns in the first half, helping Oregon State crush Stanford 62-17. With these four touchdowns, he increased his total rushing touchdowns for the season to seven.
