Four-time state champion at Wooster High and NCAA All-American Brianne McGown’s husband, Brandon, takes great pride in her new role at Damonte Ranch High School.
On Wednesday in September 2025, Damonte Ranch High School announced Brianne McGowan-Durfee as their new head softball coach.
Athletic director Jeff Thiede shared the news, calling her the perfect fit to lead the Mustangs back to success.
Brianne, fresh from her assistant coaching days at the University of Nevada, Reno, steps in after the team’s 10-17 season last year.
Although her husband, Brandon, hasn’t shared words on this matter, he must be extremely proud of her role.
Unlike Brianne’s professional life, which is like an open book, her personal life remains private.

Brandon and Brianne have been married for several years and live together in Reno, Nevada. They have two children, Connor and Kaitlyn, who are now in middle school.
By 2011, the couple already had their son Connor, whereas their daughter, Kaitlyn, was born in 2013.
The family enjoys supporting the kids in their own sports activities. Brianne has mentioned in interviews that watching her children play brings her great joy.
In fact, their son, Connor, is listed on the freshman football roster of Damonte Ranch High School.
