He noticed that Thomas defensively contained TyTy Washington Jr., a top-15, five-star prospect in the 2021 class, limiting him to 5-for-12 shooting for 14 points.
Witnessing Thomas make a top prospect miserable with his defense captivated him with an appreciation for Thomas’ skills.
With no recruitment offers after high school, Thomas connected with Cody, leading him to choose the junior college route with Kilgore, a strategic decision.
