Recently, the Israeli-born basketball forward is rumored to be in a relationship with Naama Carmel.

Deni Avdija is an Israeli professional basketball player. He currently plays small forward for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association.

Born and raised in Beit Zera, Israel, Avdija made his professional debut for the Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2017. He was just 16 years old during his debut match, becoming the youngest-ever player to play for Tel Aviv’s senior club.

After winning three consecutive Israeli League titles, Deni was enlisted for the NBA draft. The Wizards chose him as the 9th overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Consequently, he signed a rookie contract with them on December 1.

Is The Wizards Forward Dating Naama Carmel?

The Israeli basketball player is rumored to be dating Israeli citizen Naama Carmel.

It is unclear when the pair started seeing each other, but it began circulating on the Internet after Deni posted a picture of them on his Instagram handle in 2022.

Although the two still follow each other on their social media handles, that post no longer exists as of this writing. So, it is unconfirmed yet, but maybe it is true as they are still in touch.

Speaking more of Naama, she is a resident of Hod HaSharon, Israel. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is a yoga instructor and graphic designer.

A graduate of Aegialis School of Yoga, Greece, she worked as a freelance yoga instructor for nearly a year until 2023. 

Moreover, Naama was enlisted in the Israeli Defence Forces as a part of her mandatory two years of military service in 2018, which she completed in October 2020.

Little On Deni Avdija Parents, Zufer And Sharon

Deni Avdija was born to his parents, Zufer Avdija and Sharon Artzi, on January 3, 2001, in Beit Zera, Israel.

His mom, Sharon, is an Israeli-born Jew. She is a former basketball player and also participated in track and field games.

Likewise, Deni’s father, Zufer, born October 1, 1959, is a former basketball player. Originally from the former Yugoslavia, Zufer played internationally for the Yugoslavian national team in the 1982 FIBA World Championships.

He played 50 games representing Yugoslavia, during which he won the bronze at the FIBA World Championships and the gold medal at the 1983 Mediterranean Games.

Similarly, he played league basketball for the Crvena Zvezda in the Yugoslav Basketball League in the eighties before moving to Israel. 

He is currently the general manager and president of basketball operations for the Bnei Herzliya club of the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
