It was in 2017 that Ward started to become physically abusive toward her, leading Naomi to go public with the charges. Since their separation, Naomi has kept a low profile, and so has Derrick, but now the former NFL player has been charged with robberies.
Drafted in the seventh round by the New York Jets, in 2004, Ward won the Super Bowl with the Giants in 2007. Ward has been accused of robbing multiple businesses but the details have not been made immediately available.

Naomi and Derrick tied the knot in 2012, but they already had a daughter named Jaida, born in 2010. The same year as they walked down the aisle, Derrick and Naomi welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Xavier.
Previously, on X (formerly Twitter), Derrick had shared multiple photographs of him holding his baby boy. He has also shared several pictures of his daughter, Jaida, on his social media handle.
Many might know, but the former wife of the NFL player had a career as a singer. She was part of the all-girl R&B group Electrik Red. She also made an appearance in 2006’s Oscar-winning Dreamgirls.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Naomi also produced the show G’s to Gents for MTV, which ran for two seasons. Naomi hasn’t shared many details on her Facebook page and rarely posts on social media.
Derrick Ward Arrest And Charges
The former Giant’s running back, Ward, was arrested in Los Angeles in connection with robberies at businesses. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office arrested Derrick on Monday night.
As reported by NBC, the case had not been presented to prosecutors for consideration of criminal charges. Derrick has been accused of robbing at least five businesses, including gas stations.
The latest reports also say that the running back didn’t use any firearm during the robberies but used force and fear to obtain money. His bail is set at $250,000.
In his X bio, Ward has written he works behind the scenes in Hollywood. But it doesn’t look like that career was going anywhere, as he chose to rob other people. There was a time when Derrick was linked to Khloe Kardashian, but those days seem to be long gone.
