Jameson Williams, an American professional football wide receiver for the Detroit Lions of the NFL, was born to athletic parents.

The NFL star was born on March 26, 2001, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, to father James Williams and mother Tianna Williams.

Jameson Williams follows in his parents, James and Tianna’s footsteps in sports, who are both former track athletes.

James and Tianna Williams both ran track at St. Louis’ Sumner High School and in college.

Inspired by his athletic parents, Jameson Williams began pursuing his journey in sports from the very young age of 6.

He attended Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School and played for their football team; as a junior, Williams caught 36 passes for 1,062 yards and 15 touchdowns and returned three kickoffs for touchdowns.

In addition to football, Jameson also ran track at his high school, won back-to-back Class 3 state titles in the 300-meter hurdles, and set the state record.

Initially, his parents wanted Jameson Williams to pursue his career as a track athlete, just like they did; however, seeing his passion for football, they supported him in pursuing his football journey.

His father, James Williams, played a vital role in his sports journey, guiding him from an early age to his career in the NFL.

Jameson Williams Is Making His Parents Proud of His Achievements!

In an interview with The Athletic, Jameson’s mother, Tianna Williams, said:

“He truly has a love for the game of football, when the fans pour into him and he’s able to bring excitement to them and the game, it makes him happy and wants to continue to take his game to another level.”

Recently, Jameson Williams had a standout performance in the Detroit Lions‘ week 17 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on December 31, 2024, leading in his team’s victory with 40-34 points.

Similarly, he scored his first rushing touchdown of the season, scoring a rushing touchdown on a 3-yard end-around run.

Jameson Williams also contributed 5 receptions for 77 yards, showcasing his receiving abilities and making his parents proud of his remarkable performance.

He also helped his team win a game against the Chicago Bulls earlier this week on December 22, 2024; his mother, Tianna, shared his victory on her Facebook, stating, “It’s the growth for me.”

Likewise, his father, James Williams, often shares Jameson’s achievements on his social media, expressing his love and pride for his son.

Like Jameson Williams, all his siblings, including two brothers, James Williams Jr. and Jaden, and sister, Ja’Inna Williams, are all athletes.
