Born on August 20, 1972, in Pascagoula, Melvin Booker, has a significant role in making his son Devin successful.
Melvin started his career early and started playing basketball in high school. Even though he had an excellent high school career, none of the four primary schools in the region recruited him.

One setback couldn’t overshadow Booker’s fantastic season, even if Mizzou lost to second-seeded Arizona in the regional final. In 32 games, he averaged 18.1 points per contest on 50.4 percent field goals, 40.5 percent three-point, and 82.3 percent foul line shooting.
