Hall’s most both welcoming and challenging moment was in August 2018 when the very young and talented basketball player Hall signed a contract with Cairns Taipans for the 2018-19 NBL season and moved to Queensland, Australia.
Hall was one of the three Americans on the Taipan’s roster, along with D.J. Newbill and Melo Trimble.

In 28 games with Taipans, Hall averaged 9.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He wasn’t satisfied, but he found a “safe haven” in the gym.
