High School Career

Davis has always been a sports-oriented guy. Additionally, he was able to shine during his high school days; however, he wasn’t even widely known back then. Apparently, Davis did have a glorious high school day, although it didn’t bloom till his latter days.

To elaborate, Deyonta Davis attended the Muskegon High School in Muskegon, Michigan. Actually, his early days were just average and acceptable but what shone was his final years, where he had bagged the 2015 Mr. Basketball of Michigan.

He first had 4 points and 12 rebounds in the state regional finals before his accomplishments, as Muskegon escaped Hudsonville in quadruple-overtime. Moving on, he maintained 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 blocks, against Everett High School.

College Career

Following his high school graduation, Davis enrolled in Michigan State University. Apparently, as most take him as an extrovert, however, Davis was much introverted and shy. In fact, he didn’t even use to talk much to his teammates and coaches.

Almost everyone defined him to be the quietest person they have ever met. Likewise, during his freshman, Davis was mostly calm, coming in the ground, playing, and going his things, and that’s to that.

Even though his fairly athletic body came into everyone’s attention, he was far from the limelight. Additionally, he would have blocked shots, buckets, and stuff, but he never focused on the focal point.

According to the sources, Davis was always trying to hide behind his dreadlocks; thus, even not, as a rule, coaches suggested cutting it.

Later, Davis was present in the ground without his dreads, and he was more talkative than usual, who had found his common grounds with his roommate, Wollenman.

Overall, during his days at Michigan, he recorded an average of 7.5 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, and 1.6 blocks per game.

Similarly, he also started 16 out of a total of 17 games with the Spartans as he maintained the school freshman record with 64 blocked shots.
