Erik Jones’s parents are Carol and Dave Jones. Dave Jones passed away following a brief battle with cancer at the age of 53 on June 7, 2016.
Erik is a professional race car driver from Byron, Michigan. He was born on May 30, 1996, and began racing go-karts at a young age.

Jones has been in a relationship with his lovely girlfriend, Holly Shilton, since 2018. The couple got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2022.
Holly is a Toyota Racing development driver as well as a dirt track racer and currently competes in the national midget series full-time.
Erik’s fiance finished runner-up in the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League at Valley Speedway (Missouri).
At the Lawrenceburg Speedway (Indiana), she finished third in the USAC Racing Series and also broke her own national record, which she had set the previous year.
Career
In 2010, Erik started racing professionally in the ASA Late Model Series. He triumphed in the 2011 CRA All-Star Tour the next year.
Erik joined Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2013 and won the Winchester 400 championship. With his victory in the Lucas Oil 150, Jones became the youngest driver ever to make NASCAR’s top-tier competition history.
On July 7, 2018, at Daytona International Speedway, Jones won the Coke Zero Sugar 400 for the first time in his professional NASCAR Cup Series career.
Jones also won the renowned Southern 500 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway twice, the first time in 2019 and the second time in 2022.
