Former Warsaw High School Football Star, Drake Dotson, Passes Away in Tragic Accident, Leaving Behind His Parents Stormy and Chris Dotson

Drake Dotson, a Warsaw, Missouri native and standout athlete, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at an untimely age, leaving his family, friends, and loved ones devastated.

According to his loved ones, Drake Dotson lost his life after a tragic car accident; however, the details surrounding his untimely death have not been disclosed.

Drake Dotson touched the lives of many with his exceptional athletic skills and his kind, cheerful nature.

He played football at the Warsaw High School from which he graduated in 2021.

Wearing jersey #53, Drake Dotson played for the boys’ varsity football team, leading the Warriors in several victories throughout his tenure.

While it is unclear if Drake continued his athletic journey in college, as he preferred to maintain a low profile and didn’t share much about his professional and personal life, he always aimed to build his career in sports.

In addition to football, Drake also excelled in wrestling and planned to work his way into the UFC.

Similarly, the untimely death of Drake Dotson has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Social Media is Filled with Tributes to Late Drake Dotson

Many of Drake Dotson’s loved ones are paying tribute to him and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

One of his friends and fellow football player, Tristen Reynolds, took to his social media to recall Drake’s memory and express his sorrow.

The post reads:

“I lost a fellow football player to a car accident today, Drake Dotson you were a whole hearted genuine person and you’ll be missed, I ask for everybody that knew him to have a prayer for his family and friends, help each other mourn for a good soul– rest in peace drako you’ll be heavily missed..”

Similarly, another friend, Issac Bain, added, “Drake Dotson, u will be missed, buddy. Rest easy, sucks u were taken from this world too early.

Drake Dotson was born to parents, Christopher ‘Chris’ Dotson and Stormy Dotson, both natives of Missouri.

While very little information about his father, Chris, is available, his mother, Stormy Dotson, a renowned local photographer based in Warsaw, Missouri, often shares pictures of her son, Drake, expressing her love and pride for him.

In addition to his parents, Drake Dotson is survived by his brother, Raiden; grandparents; uncles; aunts; cousins; and the whole family.

His aunt Tasha Michelle Dotson took to her Facebook to express her sorrow of losing her brother a few months back and now her nephew, Drake.

She wrote:

“The pain I feel for my family feels right now is unimaginable. We just laid my brother to rest a few months ago. Now we have our nephew! My brother son!!! we’re supposed to have our kids bury us, not us to bury our kids especially knowning a pure soul that was genuine, and the kindness he put out..We already endured so much but his son, our nephew man I work in hospice. I’m OK with dealing with that with that every day when it comes close to home like this, it’s unfathomable.”

Drake Dotson’s family has yet to provide details about his funeral and memorial services.
