Erza Frech is an American athlete who has competed in multiple events, including high jump, long jump, and sprinting over the years.
Even with the amputation of his leg at just the age of three, he had already been born with congenital limb differences; the Athlete has been an inspiration for many people with or without such conditions.
He has already won two gold medals at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, marking his second participation after the 2020 Games.
The 20-year-old has set a high bar for his career as an athlete, and some of the credit should definitely go to their parents.
Son’s Complications Create Opportunity For Thousands
Right after giving birth to Erza Frech, the father, who was more involved in environmental consulting and sustainability rather than an Athletic career, had already helped thousands of athletes and people with disabilities or visual impairments. He said;
“I didn’t really understand what was possible for my kid… Then I thought, ‘How am I supposed to parent?’”
Clayton Frech has not only founded Angel City Sports but also the Ampla Institute, a consultancy firm to help people with complications or disabilities unlock their full potential. He is also active as a Public speaker and advocate.
Erza’s mother, an Hollywood actress and advocate, has also been a significant figure in the Paralympian’s career from a very early age, helping with self-worth and resilience.
The Athlete has also mentioned her famous quote, which is seen as a driving force in his career.
“Stick your head up, chin out, shoulders back. Walk in like you own the place.”
Due to Bahar’s history in the Media Industry, she is also helping share Ezra’s journey via a Documentary with fans and people around the world.
The Hollywood Actor is an executive producer of Adaptive, a three-part Documentary featuring her son and three other USA Paralympians: Jamal Hill (Para swimming) and wheelchair basketball athletes, Courtney Ryan and Josie Aslakson.
Erza also has his say for the upcoming documentary.
“Our sports are amazing and fiercely competitive, our athletes are world-class, and our stories are riveting. The show authentically portrays our journeys which are filled with drama, laughter, tears, failure and the highest of highs. Grab your popcorn.”
