Marivic Velaine Morelos Meneses aka Ria was born on October 18, 1995 in Philippines to Melody Meneses and BongMedz Meneses.

During her fourth grade, she played volleyball as a hobby and had no intention of pursuing a volleyball career. She wanted to reside in her birthplace, Malolos in Bulacan.

However, former UST volleyball stalwart Mozzy Ravena discovered her in March 2012 before her high school graduation and convinced her to try her luck in the Big City.

Meneses played a crucial role as a member of the Philippines women’s national under-23 volleyball team during the 2015 Asian Women’s U23 Volleyball Championship.

Moreover, Ria plays as the middle blocker for the Cignal HD Spikers in the Premier Volleyball League.

The volleyball player Ria Meneses is the niece of the former basketball player Vergel Meneses.

After nine years at the helm, he stepped down from the position of head coach of Jose Rizal University in 2019.

Roni was among the 68 candidates for the Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant in the country in 2021 and won the Miss Philippines Earth- Fire title.

In addition, she won the Miss Mandaluyong crown in 2020 and promotes environmental vegetarianism.

Roni was involved in sports, playing volleyball and basketball during her high school days. She holds a degree in BS Clothing Technology and owns her own clothing brand.
