Felton LaFrance Spencer was a professional basketball player from Louisville, Kentucky. He played the position of center for multiple teams in the NBA from 1990-2002.

Spencer completed his schooling at Eastern High School and started his basketball journey there as well. He led the small school to the KHSAA state tournament for 2 years.

Then Spencer went on to join his native University of Louisville and played for the Cardinals. Felton truly flourished as a center in his senior year, leading the charts for all-time field goal percentage.

Furthermore, Felton was the 6th overall pick in the 1990 NBA draft. In his rookie season, he was among the names in NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

During his 12-year NBA career, Spencer was part of various franchises; namely the Timberwolves, Utah Jazz, Orlando Magic, the Warriors, Spurs, and Knicks.

Felton Spencer died on March 12, 2023, at the age of 55, at the University of Louisville Hospital. The reason for death is stated as a natural cause.
