On September 4th, 18-year-old Andy Evers’ life changed dramatically after an industrial accident left him with life-altering injuries.
The active young man, known for his love of basketball, hunting, cooking, and working on his family farm, lost his hand and leg in the accident.
Following the incident, Andy spent 12 days in the hospital and 11 more in a rehabilitation facility.
He immediately began the long process of recovery, working tirelessly through physical therapy to adapt to his new reality.
His next step involves receiving prosthetics, which will be vital in helping him regain independence, remain active, and continue contributing to the family farm.
Despite the challenges, Andy has shown remarkable resilience and determination.
He continues to learn new ways of doing the things he loves, refusing to let setbacks define him.
His strength has inspired not only his family but also the entire community, who have rallied around him during this difficult time.
Friends and family have stepped forward to share his story. Gabrielle Stantz, speaking on behalf of the family, encouraged community members to help:
“Andy is extremely active, and while it’s amazing to see how well he’s adapting after the accident, advancements in prosthetics could be life-changing for him. If you can donate or even spare a prayer, it will mean so much for Andy’s journey.”
