Former NFL Pro Bowler Greg Hardy, who later pursued careers in UFC and boxing, was arrested on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in Richardson, Texas, for an alleged altercation between him and his girlfriend over cheating accusations.
As per the arrest report from the Richardson Police Department, Hardy and his girlfriend were on their way home from the park on Wednesday.

Born on July 28, 1988, in Millington, Tennessee, United States, Greg Hardy was raised by his strict parents, Greg Sr., and Lan Hardy.
According to the source, his father, Greg Sr., is a former defensive end and played college football at Mississippi from 1986 to 1987.
He is also a retired investigator with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Greg Sr. is now the football coach and security chief at Alexander Graham Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also owns a car detailing business.
Greg followed in his father’s footsteps and also pursued his football career, but it didn’t last long due to his off-field issues.

Lan never wanted her son, Greg, to play football, as she had no love for the game. When Greg was 8, he signed up for the team and mainly played with kids a year older, and Lan was okay with that.
During one of the interviews, Lan said,
“I thought he’d get bored after one season and never play again,” “But then he went back and he loved it.”
