Former Earl Warren High School varsity baseball player Edward Trejo has tragically passed away.

Edward Trejo, a member of the Earl Warren High School varsity baseball team in San Antonio, Texas, graduated in 2014.

Wearing jersey #1, contributed to the Warriors during the 2014 season, appearing in multiple varsity contests against strong district and tournament competition.

Offensively, he showed efficiency in limited opportunities. During the 2014 season, he posted a batting average as high as .375 with an on-base percentage of .444, exceeding national averages at the high school level.

He recorded three hits, drove in one run, and scored four runs, demonstrating his ability to get on base and contribute when called upon.

In individual games, he produced perfect or near-perfect stat lines, including 1.000 batting and on-base percentages in select matchups.

Defensively, Trejo logged time in the field with a recorded .750 fielding percentage.

He was part of multiple Warren victories during the season, including wins over Marshall, Taft, Holmes, Central Catholic, United South, Wagner, Jay, and Harlandale.

Trejo also contributed during tournament play, including the Judson Tournament, and gained experience against strong programs such as Clark, O’Connor, Hays, and McCollum.

Baseball Player Edward Trejo Passed Away, Leaving Everyone Devastated

As per the sources, a former baseball player at Earl Warren High School, Edward Trejo passed away in December 2025. However, the cause of death has not been revealed yet.

John Torres from San Antonio, Texas, took to his official Facebook handle and announced the tragic news. He wrote,

With approval from his family im posting this with deep sorrow and sadness. My Little brother for life No one knew how close we were and how much i truly loved you. Our solo missions will always be one for the books! I can’t believe im even typing this with tears running down my face. My only other Yankee in the group! You would call me anytime something was going on! I’m sorry i wasn’t there like usual to protect you.

Angela Greene, a former sales associate at World Car Kia San Antonio, mourned the loss of Edward. She wrote,

Rip Trejo, you were sunshine to so many people, now you’ll be one with that sun shining down on everyone.

Wow! Such a great person. We met at Walmart, he was the brand assistant for the bank and I was over the front end and we would always toss jokes back and forth. Then he was always at the strip with his friends who played sports. Wow. RIP Edward Trejo

Edward Trejo Is Survived By His Parents And Sister, Ayanna Trejo

Edward Trejo was born in San Antonio, Texas, to his father, Eddie and his mother, Andrea Trejo.

He shared a close bond with his mother, Andrea. On April 30, 2021, Edward took to his Facebook and wished his mother a happy birthday.

Recently, Andrea uploaded Edward’s photo to her Facebook as a tribute. In the comment section, relatives offered their heartfelt condolences.

Currently, Andrea and Eddie are devastated by the tragic loss of their son, Edward Trejo.

Edward is also survived by his sister, Ayanna Trejo, a standout varsity softball player from Warren High School, who graduated with the Class of 2024.

During the 2024 season, Ayanna posted strong offensive numbers, finishing with a .420 batting average and a .480 on-base percentage.

She recorded 37 hits, scored 32 runs, and drove in 9 RBIs.

Ayanna totaled 24 stolen bases, placing her 188th in Texas, 65th in Region IV, and 31st in Division 6A, while ranking 2nd in 6A Region IV District 29.

Currently, she is mourning the tragic death of her brother, Edward Trejo.
