Former football wide receiver Justin Blackmon’s father, Warren Blackmon, is a retired Marine lieutenant.

Justin Blackmon was arrested on Saturday, April 19, 2025, and charged with public intoxication in Payne County, Oklahoma, as per multiple reports.

The former No. 5 overall pick by the Jaguars in the 2012 NFL Draft, whose career was derailed by off-the-field incidents, appeared unrecognizable in a mug shot photo that stunned fans on social media.

As of Monday, April 21, 2025, the mugshot image was not included in the online record from the Payne County Sheriff’s Office.

It showed a male with scruffy facial hair and stated that he was arrested at 2:17 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The reported arrest came after Oklahoma State announced last month that Blackmon will be inducted into the Cowboy Football Ring of Honor this coming season.

Justin Blackmon Moved To Oklahoma With His Parents As A Child

Born on January 9, 1990, in Oceanside, California, United States, Justin Blackmon, 35, moved to Oklahoma with his father, Warren, and his mother, Donna Blackmon. He was raised in the church, playing drums and singing in the choir.

In Oklahoma, Justin attended Plainview High School as a four-sport star in football, basketball, baseball, and track.

Justin’s father, Warren, a retired Marine lieutenant, and his mother, Donna, a dedicated kindergarten teacher, have supported him every step of the way on his journey to the NFL.

Blackmon made his parents proud when he was selected by the Jaguars fifth overall in the 2012 NFL draft.

Moreover, his mother, father, and younger sister flew to Jacksonville on Jaguars owner Shad Khan’s plane to celebrate the moment.

Earlier, in 2016, when Justin was arrested for DUI, Blackmon and his father, Warren, walked into a judge’s courtroom together.

Warren was in court by his son’s side but declined to speak with local news media on camera.

Former Wide Receiver Justin Blackmon Grew Up With His Two Siblings

Justin Blackmon played football with his sister Avamarie, 24, born in 2001, and his brother Warren Blackmon Jr.

Avamarie’s official LinkedIn profile shows she graduated from Oklahoma State University, where he also served as the president of the Black Student Association.

She was central to the University’s 2024 Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, serving as the event’s emcee.

Despite a weather-related delay, the celebration brought together over 100 attendees at the Student Union Theater to honor Dr. King’s legacy through speeches and performances.

As an emcee, Avamaie guided the program and helped to highlight the contributions of students and faculty.

On the other hand, Justin’s brother Warren has avoided the media spotlight, so little is known about his personal life.
