Former West Chester University Women’s Rugby Player Miranda Pugliese Dies At 30, Leaving Behind Husband And Two Young Children

The West Chester Rugby community is mourning the loss of Miranda (Northcott) Pugliese, who died suddenly on Friday, January 10, 2024

Friends, family, and teammates are still trying to come to terms with the loss of this young lady, only 30 years old, who left far too soon.

Miranda was a ball of energy with a bubbly personality and infectious laugh.

The West Chester University Women’s Rugby team shared news of Miranda’s death, remembering her as a happy person who brightened the rugby field.

The team expressed their sadness with a touching tribute,

Miranda married her college sweetheart, Anthony Pugliese, on December 15, 2018.

She was a mother to two beautiful kids, Blake and Myles.

Blake is only three years old, and Myles just turned one.

The family resided in Atglen, Pennsylvania, where they built a home full of warmth, happiness, and laughter.

The community has come together to help Anthony and the children during this challenging time by raising money through a GoFundMe page.

Miranda Pugliese Played As A Lock For The West Chester University Women’s Rugby Team For Four Years

Miranda started at Coatesville High School in Coatesville, PA.

She attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she played the lock position for the West Chester University Women’s Rugby team, and graduated in 2017.

Since September 2018, Miranda has been a Management Assistant for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental.

She was celebrated for her dedication and hard work in the career field.

The news of Pugliese’s death has brought numerous people from the West Chester University community and other places to voice their sorrow.

Friends and others have shared their memories of her kindness and how she helped them.

Many said she was an unforgettable part of the community and that her presence will be greatly missed.
