Former Wooster High School Cheerleader Ashley Bush Dies In A Car Accident: Boyfriend, Elijah Hospitalized and Awaiting Surgery

A cheerleader at Wooster High School, Ashley Bush, passed away in a tragic car accident.

Ashley Bush was born to her mother, Karen Lidge, and her father, Charlie Lidge. Her parents tied the knot on May 20, 2017.

As per Charlie’s Facebook handle, he attended Wooster High School from 2000 to 2005 and started serving as a Barber at Global GRIND Enterprise on October 1, 2021.

On the other hand, Ashley’s mother is also originally from Wooster, Ohio, as per her Facebook.

Cheerleader Ashley Bush Was Caught In An Accident Along With Her Boyfriend, Elijah Hall

As per the various sources, Ashley Bush and her boyfriend, Elijah Hall, were caught in an accident on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Wooster due to the road conditions.

Ashley couldn’t survive the crash, while her boyfriend is in critical condition, waiting for surgery.

Elijah’s mother, Jamie N Lopez, took to her official Facebook handle and announced the tragic news. She wrote,

Last evening my son Elijah Hall was in a horrible car accident with his girlfriend Ashley Bush who passed away on impact. This is so traumatic, horrible and devastating. He’s currently waiting for surgery because he can not walk. I’m asking for prayers for the hands of the surgeons handling my baby. And PLEASE keep Karen Lidge and her family in tremendous prayer! A mothers worst fear is losing a child. I can’t imagine how she is feeling right now. My heart breaks for this whole situation. Ashley will truly be missed. Please pray for everyone involved 🙏🏽💔

Other close ones and relatives have also poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Ashley’s family to stay strong in this difficult time.

Ashley’s mother, Karen Lidge, took to her Facebook handle and requested some time and space. She wrote,

Everyone; my beautiful, vibrant, caring daughter Ashley Bush passed last night during a car accident due to the road conditions. She died on impact. My family and I are trying to process this. We are not doing well. She was so full of life and absolutely loved her son with every ounce of her soul. He was her world. We are going to need time to navigate this traumatic event. Please allow us some time and space.

Moreover, Amber Jerkins from Wooster, Ohio, has organized the fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to help Ashley’s family with funeral and burial costs.

The campaign aims to collect around $14k, and it has collected over $12,128.

As per Ashley’s family, the funeral service has been scheduled for December 17, 2025.

Ashley will always be remembered for her unforgettable contributions as a cheerleader at Wooster High School. Rest in Heaven, Ashley Bush.
