Jackson, Mississippi Mother Furious After 9-Year-Old Cheerleader Daughter Dropped Off on Wrong Bus and Left in Unknown Location by Pecan Park After-School Program!

Kierra Sterling, a mother from Jackson, Mississippi, took to her Facebook page yesterday to share a terrifying experience that happened to her nine-year-old daughter after cheerleading practice.

According to her post, the Pecan Park after-school program put the little girl on the wrong bus, and instead of making sure she got home safely, the driver let her off at the Village Apartments, a place the child had never been before and did not know at all.

It was already dark outside, and the frightened girl had told the driver exactly where she lived on Battlefield Drive.

Instead of helping the little girl, the driver told her he wasn’t coming to the battlefield to drop her off and put her off the bus in the village apartments.

She expressed her frustration and called out the driver for Pecan Park after school in an upper case, writing:

ITS A 9YR CHILD IT WAS DARK OUTSIDE SHE TOLD YOU WHERE SHE LIVED AND YOU STILL OUT HER OFF THE BUS‼️‼️

Kierra revealed that she began to worry when her daughter didn’t come home at the usual time.

She called the school and the teacher, but no one answered, and when she rushed to the building, everyone had already left for the day.

While she was driving around searching for her child, thankfully, another parent who recognized the little girl from cheerleading spotted her and brought her home safely.

She pointed out that a grown man driving children should have either called his supervisor when he realized he had the wrong child on board or simply taken the girl to her correct address instead of leaving a nine-year-old alone in an unfamiliar neighborhood after dark.

Kierra is beyond angry and says she will not stop until the bus driver is held responsible and changes are made so no other child ever goes through the same thing.

Y’ALL JUST DON’T KNOW HOW HEATED I AM I DO NOT PLAY WEN IT COMES TO MY KIDS THAT SHT COULD’VE WENT A WHOLE NOTHER WAY BUT THANK GOD MY BABY HOME SAFE🙌🏽🙌🏽

Many people in the Jackson area have seen the post and are sharing their own concerns about how the after-school program handles transportation.

Bridget Williams expressed her relief, writing, “Glad to hear she made it home okay. That driver’s mistake was unacceptable and he should be held accountable. I drive the same bus route for another company…And I know that’s not acceptable… Sorry !!!!

Whereas, a comment from Angela Marie Jones Smith spoke volumes about her frustration, “Go to transportation south and ask for the supervisor and tell them her bus # and get results because that was a definite Negative!!!!! It was Not EVER SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN !!!! THAT WAS DANGEROUS 😳 🤬😡😡😡😡 And I SAID WHAT I SAID !!!!
