Gabrielle Williams was born on September 9, 1996, in Sparks, Nevada, U.S. She is the daughter of Matthew Williams (father) and Therese Williams (mother).

Williams grew up creating beautiful memories with her parents and two of her siblings: Kayla Williams (sister) and Matt Williams (brother).

In her Junior year, she improved her performance even more. Sadly in a game against Reno high, she tore an anterior cruciate ligament and partially tore the meniscus in her right knee.

This led to her missing the overall game of the season. Gabby only returned to the game after 8 months.

During high school, Williams also used to participate in high jumps and was able to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics.

After completing high school, she joined UConn (University of Connecticut) and spent 4 years (2014-2018).

Professional Career

During her UConn days, her performance was incredible, leading her to win many awards.

After playing for the college for four years, Gabby was drafted in the 2018 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. With Chicago, she played until the 2021-22 season while also playing for basketball clubs in other countries too.

From 2018 to 2019, Gabby played with Dike Basket Napoli of the Italian First Division until the team withdrew from the championship in 2019.

In late February 2019, she signed with Spain-based Spar CityLift Girona, where she was kept in place of Shay Murphy; with them, Williams won the 2018-19 Spanish First Division.

Moreover, the basketball player spent her 2019-20 season with the French team Lattes-Montpellier.

On May 9, 2021, Willams was traded to Los Angeles Sparks & played the 2021-22 season there.

Then, on February 3, 2022, the LA Sparks traded Gabby Williams to Seattle Storm while acquiring Katie Lou Samuelson and the 9th pick option of the 2022 WNBA Draft.

Even though she had also signed with French basketball club ASVEL Féminin in June 2022 for the 2022-23 season, she played that season with Seattle Storm instead, who offered her a one-year, $144,000 deal.

In the NBA Playoffs semi-finals loss to Las Vegas on a 3-1 record on September 6, 2022, Gabby scored 8 points, 6 rebounds & 2 assists for Seattle.

She will become a free agent in the 2023-24 season if no contract extensions or signings with a new team comes up.
