Dabrowski made headlines after teaming up with Erin Routiffe to defeat Leyalah Annie Fernandez and Taylor Townsend in a wild three-set quarter-final on Tuesday.

Gabriela “Gaby” Dabrowski became the first Canadian to win Les Petis As in 2006, one of the most prestigious 14 and under tournaments in the world.

Later, in 2013, Dabrowski reached the first WTA career final with partner Shahar Peer. The same year, she made it to the second professional singles final at the Waterloo Challenger.

At the 2014 Washington Open, Gabriela won the first WTA doubles title of her career, partnering with Shuko Aoyama.

Moreover, the two-time Grand Slam champion won the 2017 French Open mixed-doubles with Rohan Bopanna, becoming the first Canadian woman to win a senior Grand Slam title.

Dabrowski became the highest-ranked Canadian in the history of the WTA doubles rankings on October 18, 2021, rising to World No. 5. Later, in July 2022, she reached a career-high doubles ranking of No.4.

Gabriela began playing tennis with her father when she was quite young. At age 8, she participated in her first provincial event.

She became the first Canadian tennis player to win the U18 Junior Orange Bowl since 1982 in December 2009.

The two-time Olympian has been playing tennis since she was a little child and has achieved significant success in the sport. She is currently a global spokesperson for Special Olympics.
