Her tragic demise left a profound void in her community.

Sania Buckner was a key player and a true all-star at Grays Creek Middle School.

She was more than an athlete who excelled in multiple areas and proved herself to be a well-rounded and determined student. She was a power athlete on the court who brought energy and skill to her team.

Her passion for basketball shone through her social media, where she posted about her athletic journey and dedication to the sport.

Sania’s talents extended far beyond sports.

She also achieved great success in academics, earning first place in the Career Research competition at Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). It showed her focus, research skills, and ambition for the future.

Sania Buckber was a dedicated student-athlete at Grays Creek Middle School, where she inspired coaches, teammates, and classmates alike with her fearless leadership and passion on the women’s basketball court.

Her influence extended far beyond the game and embodied a rare combination of light, kindness, and inner strength.

She will be forever remembered for her remarkable intelligence, vibrant humor, captivating beauty, and the unwavering spirit she brought to every moment of her life.

Sania is survived by her loving parents, Joshua and Precious Buckner, and her brother, Sean, along with her extended family. She was a cherished member of a close-knit family of eight, whose lives she illuminated daily.

In the wake of this unimaginable loss, the community has rallied around the Buckner family, demonstrating the profound impact Sania had on so many.

A meal train has been organized to support them. Those wishing to contribute are asked to make drop-offs after 10:00 AM at 2136 McFayden Rd, Fayetteville, NC.

Furthermore, a fundraising effort has already gathered $3,240 in donations from 42 people.

I choose not to mourn you …but I choose to celebrate you and the person that you were. You wore your heart on your shoulders every day and could make light of every situation.
