Peter Carroll, a former football coach, was born in San Francisco, California, on September 15, 1951.

He grew up in Greenbrae, California, and went to Greenbrae School. Later, he joined the Redwood High School in Larkspur, California.

Growing up, he was a multi-sport star who excelled in three sports (baseball, basketball, and football).

Carroll attended junior college at the College of Marin before transferring to the University of the Pacific.

He had been the Seattle Seahawks head coach for over a decade after joining in 2010.

It is sad to see a man with so much legacy go under these circumstances.

Has Pete Carroll Retired Or Will He Go To Alabama In 2024?

Fans are stunned after the Seattle Seahawks announced Pete Carroll’s departure as head coach following a spectacular 14-year run.

The decision feels like the end of an era for many, as the Seahawks had a fantastic run under him.

This includes two NFC championships and the franchise’s sole Super Bowl victory in 2014.

Currently, the Seahawks’ higher authorities assert that they have not fired Carroll but have instead transferred him to an advising role within the team.

This change also represents a substantial shift in authority, as Carroll formerly functioned as the executive vice president of football operations.

The decision comes after the Seahawks nearly missed the playoffs this season, finishing 9-8.

Over the last three years, the team’s performance has been disappointing, with a 25-28 record and only one postseason participation.

It is very sad to note that just two days before the announcement, Carroll had expressed his desire to stay with the team in 2024.

So Carroll To Alabama In 2024?

With Pete Carroll now retired and out of the Seahawks and Alabama’s coach Saban’s decision to retire, Alabama might consider Pete Carroll to replace Nick Saban.

Carroll’s exceptional college coaching record, particularly at USC, suggests he could easily follow Saban’s successful stay in Tuscaloosa.

The probable move shows worries regarding Carroll’s previous departure from USC amid scandals that may be less significant in today’s collegiate football landscape.

While nothing is definite, Carroll taking over at Alabama is portrayed as an appealing possibility, given his coaching background and the current college football landscape.

Meet Pete’s Son Brennan Carroll

The Carrolls have a very rich heritage when it comes to coaching football.

His son Brennan is no exception, serving as the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Wildcats.

Brennan was born on March 20, 1979, in Columbus, Ohio. He had been an established football player since high school thanks to his father’s influence.

Brennan attended Saratoga High School in Saratoga, California, and played football there.

After transferring from the University of Delaware in 1997, he played collegiate football as a tight end at the University of Pittsburgh from 1999 to 2001.
