Former Zimbabwe cricket team captain Heath Streak has passed away at the age of 49, a heartbreaking announcement made by his wife, Nadine Clarke, through a poignant social media post on Sunday.
A few weeks prior, there had been a distressing and erroneous report of Streak’s demise circulating on social media, initially conveyed by his former teammate, Henry Olonga.
However, that earlier news turned out to be false, leading to a perplexing turn of events, with Olonga himself retracting the claim and confirming that the former Zimbabwe skipper was indeed alive.
Tragically, this time, his grieving wife has confirmed the news of the legendary cricketer’s passing.

“In the early hours of this morning, Sunday the 3rd of September 2023, the greatest love of my life and the father of my beautiful children, was carried to be with the Angels from his home where he wished to spend his last days surrounded by his family and closest loved ones. He was covered in love and peace and did not walk off the Park alone. Our souls are joined for eternity Streaky. Till I hold you again,”

Nadine is from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and currently lives in Burgess Hill, England.
Heath and Nadine are blessed with two children, and one of them is Holly Streak Cook.
