Jonathan Arehart, a proud student-athlete at Heritage High School, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2025.
The wrestling room was his second home, as it had truly captured his heart.
Jonathan Arehart was a proud student at Heritage High School, renowned for his infectious sense of humor and dedication as a student-athlete.
He participated in cross country, but it was on the wrestling mat where he truly found his home. Wrestling was more than a sport for him, and stepping onto the mat filled him with confidence and a sense of purpose.
His passion for wrestling shaped his character, and he found a second family in his coaches and teammates in the wrestling room.
Jonathan thrived on the daily challenge, learning powerful lessons in perseverance, respect, and inner strength that he carried with him everywhere. He loved the grind and the camaraderie, embracing the brotherhood of the team.
He will be remembered as a dedicated athlete and a wonderful friend whose impact reached far beyond the scoreboard.

Jonathan Arehart was a Young Man Remembered for His Love and Faith
Jonathan Christopher Arehart, the son of Joseph Arehart, was born on October 21, 2008. His father raised him alongside his three siblings, Jacob, Hailey, and Emily.
He was a bright, hardworking, and kind-hearted young man who left a legacy of love and light that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
Jonathan’s presence brought comfort, humor, and an undeniable radiance to the lives of his family and friends.
As a faithful member of Peavine Baptist Church, he found a loving community, steadfast support, and a growing relationship with the Lord. His deep faith was reflected through his profound compassion, genuine humility, and gentle spirit.
He will be remembered for his thoughtful, loyal, and deeply loving nature. He possessed a tender heart and cared genuinely with a unique ability to make others feel seen, understood, and valued.
Jonathan was a young man who always wore a smile, and his quiet strength and steady presence had the power to brighten even the heaviest day.
His father and three siblings survive him.
Similarly, he shared a close bond with his grandparents, Joe and Judy Arehart; aunt, Callie Nicholas; and cousins, Caleb Borhman, Laney Borhman, and Marcel Nicholas, along with many extended family members, his wrestling community, and countless friends who loved him deeply.
Jonathan will always be cherished as a loving son, brother, grandson, and friend.

Jessica Grant has created a GoFundMe page due to the tragedy that came with no warning and no life insurance. The fund will cover Jonathan’s funeral expenses.
The Arehart family held a funeral service at 12 Noon on Friday, November 21, at Peavine Baptist Church, with Nathan McCoy officiating. The Peavine Baptist Church Cemetery will be the site of burial.
On Thursday, November 20, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., the family will welcome friends at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, located on Battlefield Parkway.
Jonathan will always be loved, missed, and never forgotten. His beautiful life meant more than words can ever express.
