Later, Tsarukyan joined the UFC, debuting on April 20, 2019, against Islam Makhachev at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Oleinik. Despite a loss, the bout earned him the Fight of the Night bonus.

Tsarukyan’s outstanding performances continued, with wins over Christos Giagos and Joel Álvarez, earning him Performance of the Night awards.
