Lance Pekus confirms the truth: “Is my wife still alive?”—Yes, and she’s thriving with purpose.

Lance Pekus is best known to millions of fans as the “Cowboy Ninja” from American Ninja Warrior.

Since his debut in Season 4, he has remained a fan-favorite for his grit, humility, and consistency on the obstacle course.

Competing through Seasons 4 to 17, Lance has showcased more than just physical strength—he’s revealed deep emotional resilience and devotion to his family, especially his wife, Heather.

Beyond the show, Lance has competed in Spartan Ultimate Team Challenge and Team Ninja Warrior.

When he’s not climbing warped walls or flying across salmon ladders, Lance works for the Forest Service and helps on his father-in-law’s ranch in Salmon, Idaho.

Ranch life has shaped his work ethic and fitness in a way few gyms could replicate.

He is also a motivational speaker, writer, and content creator who balances his public life with a deep commitment to family.

Above all, Lance repeatedly emphasizes that being a husband and father is his proudest role—one that defines him more than any ninja course ever could.

Is Lance Pekus’ Wife Still Alive?

Yes, Lance Pekus’ wife, Heather, is very much alive.

Despite her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis (MS), Heather remains a powerful presence in Lance’s life and continues to inspire him every step of the way.

In fact, just a week ago, the Pekus family shared joyful moments from their trip to Tennessee, and Lance posted pictures on Instagram as recently as a few hours ago, showing them enjoying quality time together.

Heather has been open about her MS diagnosis since Season 9 of American Ninja Warrior, when the family decided to share her journey publicly.

Lance calls her his “biggest inspiration”—not only as a wife and mother but also as a counselor at Salmon High School, where she continues to work despite her health challenges.

In a talk with the National Marrow Donor Program, Lance revealed that Heather now uses a wheelchair.

However, rather than slow them down, her diagnosis has taught the family the true meaning of resilience.

Together, they continue to attend public events, speak about their experiences, and raise awareness about life with MS.

So, to all the fans wondering—Heather Pekus is alive, strong, and continuing to inspire not just her family but also everyone who hears her story.
