A Spanish-born basketball player, Lauren Betts moved to the United States with her family in the third grade.

She later attended Grandview High School, where she played basketball, averaging 17.2 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game as a senior.

Currently, Betts is a collegiate basketball player at the UCLA Bruins, where she joined as a sophomore transfer in 2023. 

Earlier, she attended Standford University (2022-23) and played for the Cardinal, becoming the 2023 Pac-12 champion. As a freshman at Stanford, she averaged 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game.

Who Are In Lauren’s Family? Parents & Age

Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, on October 15, 2003, Lauren is the daughter of Andrew Richard Betts and Michelle Betts, who were both collegiate athletes.

As of 2024, Betts, of American national & mixed ethnicity, is 20 years old.

Her father, Andrew, a British former basketball player, was the second-round pick of the Charlotte Hornets in the 1998 NBA draft.

However, instead of staying in the NBA, he tours with basketball clubs across the globe (Italy, Greece, and Spain).

On the other, her mother, Michelle, is a Brooklyn, New York-born, who grew up as an Air Force kid in Colorado.

She played volleyball at Long Beach State, where she met Andrew (Lauren’s dad). Now, she works as a real estate agent at West and Main Homes (2021- present).

As reported, Betts’ parents are now divorced and live five minutes apart. They co-work to raise their children.

Lauren is the oldest of four children, she has three siblings: a sister named Sienna Betts (b. October 3, 2006), and two brothers, Dylan, and Ashton.

Her younger sister, Sienna, plays basketball at Grandview High School (class of 2025, and is a commit of UCLA.
