2023 NBA Draft With The Pacers

In preparation for the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, Jarace Walker from the University of Houston had his first pre-draft workout with the Indiana Pacers on June 7, 2023.

This individual session proved influential as Walker made a strong impression on and off the court.

On draft night in New York City, the picks fell into place, and when the Pacers were on the board, they could select Walker, the player they had been targeting.

Indiana agreed to acquire Walker by exchanging the seventh overall pick, Bilal Coulibaly of France, with the Washington Wizards for the eighth pick.

The trade brought a well-suited player to the Pacers and gave them additional draft compensation, as they still held picks 26, 47, and 55 in the remaining draft rounds.
