Jared Gordon religion and connection to his American heritage have sculptured his recognition and made him a widely recognized athlete in the world of sports.

Jared Gordon, aka ‘Flash,’ is a professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

He was born on September 6, 1988, in Queens, New York, and began his professional fighting career in 2011.

Gordan spent most of the time of his adolescence in Westport, CT, while he attended Staples High School.

Jared was the lightweight champion of Duelo De Gigantes in Mexico as well as the lightweight champion of Cage Fury Fighting Championships in the USA.

He used to teach boxing and Muay Thai at Church Street Boxing in New York before turning a professional himself. At the same gym, he was coached by Jason Slow.

As he continues to make his name more popular day by day, his next fight will be an amazing one to witness.

Gordon was born to his parents, father Robin Gordon and mother Stephanie, in Queens, New York.

There are speculations about him being a Muslim, as he tweeted, “To all my Muslim brothers and sisters!” 

Jared has talked about him being in rehab multiple times and how he faced a near-death experience. He has also talked about his journey from being a drug addict to a clean and sober person.

He has shared about his drug addictions. He considers himself blessed and grateful to have his supportive fans and family that helped him amidst the drug abuse.

Furthermore, we cannot declare his religion which is speculated to be Muslim, but looking at his post where he wished Eid Mubarak to all the Muslim brothers and sisters, we can assume that he is a Muslim.

Jared Gordon Drug Addiction

From using prescribed medications for his injury, Gordon got addicted to abusing drugs at the age of 19.

Moreover, At the age of 21, Jared was addicted to heroin. All this led to him being homeless and panhandling in the streets to support his drug addiction.

Jared also managed to get him into a rehab event that made him clean, that made him healthy enough to fight again.

Unfortunately, Gordon got injured in one of the fights, which compelled him to take medications again, which again made him addicted.

Sadly, He got in a worse state which even made him legally dead for 2 minutes. The third overdose was the striking point in his life which made him clean and sober.

Equally important, After he got back into his life as a sober person, he again started his UFC journey, which has made him a widely recognized name in the industry.

Currently, the athlete has a net worth of $500K and earns a decent amount of money from his fights.

Jared Gordon Upcoming Fight

Soon, Jared Gordon ‘Flash’ will be fighting Bobby Green ‘King’ in the lightweight division of the UFC, Under the Main event, which is UFC Fight Night: Pavlovich vs Blaydes.

Jordon will be fighting after his loss against Paddy Pimblet, which can be challenging for him, but he will be determined to win after losing his last fight.

Likewise, Bobby Green also will be fighting Gordon after his loss to Drew Dober. Bobby Green has a slight advantage looking at the stats.
