Story Behind The Name Jazz

As we all know, the actual name of the golfer is Atiwit. Jazz is his nickname which was the name given by his father, as his father loved Jazz music.

“Even when I hit a bad shot, they don’t boo. And they’re really funny trying to pronounce my name,” he said.

Janewattananond has recently grown significantly, and he has even started working on his signature.

He is now choosing to sign his name as “Jazz” rather than his 15-letter last name. To give his signature more value, the golfer replaces the letter J with a musical note.

Atiwit has also mentioned that people like his autograph and that he likes to keep things simple and tries to do that all the time.

Jazz Once Was A Monk

Jazz Janewattananond took some time for himself right after the 2016 golf season. He lived as a Buddhist monk for two weeks. He claims that the experience helped his golfing.

“It’s something that every Thai or Buddhist does, but for me, it made a difference in my golf career,” he said.

The player explained that every Thai or Buddhist has to go and become a monk when one turns 21.
