John-Blair Bickerstaff, better known as JB Bickerstaff, is an American professional basketball coach. He currently serves as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association.
After he failed to make it to the NBA, Bickerstaff started his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Bobcats in 2004.
Since then, he has worked as a coach for several other renowned teams, including the Houston Rockets and the Memphis Grizzlies. After spending almost a year as an associate head coach for the Cavaliers, they appointed him the head coach in 2020.

As mentioned above, the Cavalier head coach, JB Bickerstaff, and his wife, Nicki, have three kids- a son and two daughters.
The pair first met each other through their mutual friend, former NBA player Richard Jefferson, and tied the knot in 2011 after a few years of dating.
Soon after, JB and Nicki welcomed their first daughter, Blair, that same year. Almost a year later, their second daughter, Blakely, was born.
Furthermore, their youngest kid, a son named Blade, was born in August 2013. Although he keeps mentioning his family and kids during the press talks and interviews, Bickerstaff likes keeping them away from unwanted media attention.

However, speaking more of his wife, she was born in 1978 in Canby, Oregon.
Born Nicki Jones, she attended the University of Arizona, where she graduated with a degree in Marketing and Business in 1999.
Nicki later opened up her boutique called Urban Angels Boutique and Halo in the early 2000s. Aside from that, she worked as a sales and promotions director at Tiger Oak Publications from 2010 to 2012.
Bickerstaff’s Dad Is A Former Basketball Coach
JB Bickerstaff’s dad, Bernie Bickerstaff, is also a former basketball coach. Currently a senior basketball advisor for the Cavaliers, Bernie began his coaching career in 1968 and was active until 2014.
After playing collegiate basketball for the Rio Grande and the San Diego Toreros, Bickerstaff worked as an assistant for Phil Whoolpert’s Toreros in 1968. The following year, he was named the head coach of the team at only 25 years old.
Bickerstaff coached several professional teams throughout his career, including the Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, and Portland Trail Blazers. He won his first NBA championship in 1978 as an assistant coach for the Washington Bullets.
Aside from his coaching career, he also worked briefly as a basketball analyst for the Washington Wizards, the San Antonio Spurs, and Sporting News Radio.
