Jeff Driskel Brother | Early Life, Family & Education

Jason Driskel, the younger brother of Jeff, was born to his parents, Jerry and Mary Driskel, on November 12, 1995, in Oviedo, Florida, United States.

Both his parents served in the U.S. military. His mother, Mary, served in the U.S. coast guard for many years.

Jerry had joined the navy when he was just seventeen. He traveled to different places worldwide, serving his country, and eventually retired after twenty years of service.

Being the children of military personnel, Jason and his brother grew up in a disciplined environment. They spent about three years of their childhood in Sasebo when Jerry was posted in Japan.

Jason began playing baseball and football at a young age. His elder brother, Jeff, was a comparatively better baseball player than him, but he was not that far behind.

While in Japan, their parents had admitted them to a Little League team, where they became local superstars because of their performances, as the other teammates lacked as much athleticism as the Driskel brothers had.

After returning to the U.S., Jason attended Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida, where he played football. Aside from being good at sports, Jason was academically gifted and always brought excellent grades.

After graduation, he enrolled in the Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. He graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the university in May 2018.

Football Career

An incredibly talented athlete since his teenage years, Jeff Driskel played exceptionally well for the Hagerty High School team until 2014. Apart from recording two rushing touchdowns, he had 13 touchdowns, covering 1,160 yards.

After enrolling at the university for engineering courses, Jeff played limited matches for the team as he redshirted throughout his college career. He recorded three touchdowns and four passing interceptions in nine games in the 2015 season.

Jason started the game for the Owls in his second season. He played 12 games this season and had nine touchdowns and eleven interceptions.

Despite having a good chance of getting drafted into the NFL, Jason announced that he would quit his football career after his junior season in 2018.

He thanked his family and everyone who supported him during his football journey and said he would focus on academics from then on. In addition, Jason made it clear that he had never thought of having a professional football career ever in his life.

Beyond Football

After graduating college, Jason worked in various positions for different companies, mainly Restaurant Brands International and GoPuff.

Restaurant Brands International is a fast-food chain with branches across various nations. He spent nearly three years in its Miami branch as an analyst and manager.

Jason currently works as a strategy and planning manager at GoPuff, a consumer goods and food delivery company. Before that, he worked as a strategy and operation analyst for the same company in its Austin branch.

Jeff Driskel Brother | Age, Weight, & Height

Jason Driskel is an attractive-looking guy with handsome features.

The former quarterback stands 1.88 meters (6 feet 2 inches) tall and has a muscular physique, maybe because of regular workouts and a balanced diet.

Similarly, he weighed around 210 lb (95 kg) in college. However, he has lost some weight, as seen in his recent social media posts.

Jeff Driskel Brother | Net Worth

Stepping out of the football field without even starting his professional career, Jason Driskel settled for much less.

As an ordinary man with a moderately paying job, he just has enough money to support his family and nothing more.

However, his elder brother, Jeff, has accumulated much more wealth from his NFL career than Jason.

After the San Fransisco 49ers picked him in the 2016 draft, they signed him for about $2.45 million for four years.

Unfortunately, the team released him at the end of the year, so he got just over $110k from the 49ers. Soon after, he signed with the Cincinnati Bengals and stayed with them until 2019, helping him earn about $1.4 million.

Jeff has recently signed a one-year contract worth $1.187 million with the Houston Texans. The athlete has collected nearly $8 million from his professional football career to date.

Know Jeff Driskel in Brief!

Jeffrey Adam Driskel, better known as Jeff Driskel in the NFL, was the first-born son to his parents, Jerry and Mary Driskel. He was born on April 23, 1993, in Oviedo, Florida, United States.

Growing up with his sibling, just two years his junior, they often spent their pastimes playing ball games. Over time, Jeff grew more interested in baseball and football, so he excelled in those two sports in high school.

However, he stopped playing baseball after high school and dedicated his time wholly to football. He initially played college football for the Florida Gators but chose to transfer to Louisiana Tech in 2015.

Jeff made it into the NFL in 2016 after the San Fransisco 49ers chose him as the 207th overall pick. However, he did not play a single match in the league until 2018 because of competition and sometimes injuries.

Driskel eventually debuted for the Cincinnati Bengals on October 21, 2018, against the Kansas City Chiefs. In that game, he completed four passes for 39 yards, which they lost with the scoreline of 45-10.

He has appeared for three teams after the Bengals in different seasons but rarely gets to play. Currently, he is on the practice squad of the NFL team Houston Texans.
