Joey Hauser brother, Sam Hauser, has been a role model for his younger brother. The Hausers are a basketball family, which further strengthens the bond between the brothers.

They both grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. In fact, they were born just two years apart, making the siblings competitive companions.

Growing up, they practiced basketball together under the guidance of their father, Dave Hauser. The brothers enjoy spending time together honing their basketball skills.

Joey Hauser is an American former college basketball player who played for the Michigan State Spartans.

The player had recently signed a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz after the 2023 NBA draft concluded.

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States, on July 17, 1999, Hauser attended Stevens Point Area Senior High School. He managed to win three consecutive Division 1 state titles there.

In the spring of 2018, Joey enrolled to play college basketball at Marquette University after graduating high school. However, just after two seasons, he transferred to Michigan State University.

Joey Hauser was selected to the Big East All-Freshman team during his time at Marquette. The Spartan was considered one of the top college basketball players who made 41.6% of his three-pointers.

Similarly, Sam Hauser was born on December 8, 1997, and played basketball, golf, and football for Stevens Point Area Senior High School.

He helped his school record an undefeated season and win the Division 1 state championship for two consecutive seasons.

After graduating high school, Joey Hauser’s brother played college basketball for the Marquette University Golden Eagles and the Virginia Cavaliers.

Although Sam went undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, he signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics on August 13, 2021.

As Sam is venturing his second season at the professional level, he is doing well so far. The shooter is starting to find his home on the NBA stage.

The Siblings Bond Began At High School

Joey Hauser and Sam Hauser are two talented basketball players who made it to the NBA. Both of them attended Stevens Point Area Senior High School, where they dominated on the basketball court.

As a matter of fact, the Hauser brothers made significant contributions to the back-to-back state championships in 2015 and 2016.

In addition, the brothers also shared the court for a season at Marquette before Sam transferred to the University of Virginia.

Dave, their father, was an assistant basketball coach and taught the players to shoot. Dave and Sam had a great influence over the Hauser’s youngest.

The big brother helped Joey in every way to step up his game. This might be the reason why Joey’s game resembles somewhat of his older brother, especially in shooting.

Joey and Sam have a close relationship and always supported each other’s basketball careers. Sam attended Joey’s college games, and Joey rarely missed an opportunity to see Sam in action.

Additionally, the little brother is happy for Sam and is thrilled to see his brother on the big stage.

It also had been a dream of Joey to join his brother in the NBA. The idea of being on the same court again with Sam always excited him.

Although not on the same team as his brother, Joey will have a chance to play for the Jazz. Further, he will be splitting time with the new Salt Lake City Stars in the G League.
