Jonny Evans has been married to his wife, Helen McConnell, since 2013, and reportedly they have three daughters.

Despite being from the same place, Belfast, their first encounter was during an interview for MUTV in 2011.

Jonathan Grant Evans, MBE, born January 3, 1988, is a Northern Irish professional soccer player who plays defender for Manchester United and the Northern Ireland national team.

He started his professional soccer career at Manchester United Youth Team in 2004 and progressed through the club’s academy.

After making a senior team debut, Evans played on a loan for Manchester United’s Belgian feeder club Royal Antwerp.

Later, he joined West Bromwich Albion in 2015 after his loan stint at Sunderland (2006-2008) and Manchester United (2008-2015).

In 2018, he signed with Leicester City on a three-year deal but was released at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Following the release, he trained with United before signing a short-term deal with the club.

Besides, he has represented the Northern Ireland national soccer team at different levels: U16, U17, U21, and senior teams.

Helen was born to her father, Reverend Kenneth McConnell, and her mother in Belfast, North Ireland, on May 8, 1988.

She grew up with two brothers, one of whom is a professional soccer player.

After completing high school, McConnell attended Ulster University and completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Sports Studies in June 2008.

A couple of years after graduating, she joined Manchester United TV as a television presenter in August 2010.

Since then, she was worked with MUTV and side by side also does freelancing as a TV presenter.

At MUTV, she serves as a presented, event host, and official Manchester United podcast host.

Besides, Jonny’s wife was also associated with Belfast model agency Style Academy and appeared as a Sunday Life Covergirl finalist in 2004.

They tied the knot and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lottie Evans, on May 15, 2014.

Their second child, Heidi, was born in 2017. Similarly, their third child, Eli, was born in December 2019.
