The England-born tennis player Katie Boulter grew up playing tennis with her elder brother James Gartshore Boulter. While her brother chose a career path in business, she boarded for the WTA.

Even though James is busy with his business ventures, he does manage time to visit his sister & make a swing or two on the court.

Katie Boulter, the 2023 Nottingham Open winner, began playing tennis at three & was representing the United Kingdom by the age of eight.

Her tennis enthusiasm & instincts came from her family lineage of tennis players.

Also, Boulter’s rivalry with her brother took some part in the thrive for betterment; beating her brother was her motivating factor.

Born in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire, Boulter currently plays in the WTA & ranks #88 in the world rankings with prize money of $1.28 million as of this writing.

Her highest-ever ranking in the singles was #77 (on June 19, 2023), while the doubles ranking was #431 (December 31, 2018).

As for the British women’s tennis ranking, she is currently #1, ahead of Jodie Burrage (#2) & Emma Raducanu (#3).

Turned professional in 2013, Katie Boulter won her first WTA tournament in an all-British final, defeating Jodie Burrage at the 2023 Nottingham Open.

Katie Boulter Brother: James Gartshore Boulter

James Gartshore Boulter, born in 1993, is the older brother of tennis star Katie Boulter.

He is a venture capitalist & is currently serves as the endorsements and voiceover agent of United Talent Agency (2022- now).

The UTA represents the world’s best artists, storytellers, entertainers, and brands. Thus, James frequently finds himself at the center of job description that spans talent, luxury brands, and venture capital.

A close associate of Priyanka Chopra Jonas, James has previously worked with Michelle Obama, Naomi Campbell, and Serena Williams

Additionally, he closed major client deals with blue chip companies such as Meta, Bvlgari, Victoria’s Secret, and Bain Capital in a span of a decade before joining UTA.

Also an entrepreneur, he founded Strive in 2019, which ran through June 2022.

Today, Boulter’s role remains somewhat the same as he is responsible for securing commercial and endorsement opportunities and partnering top-tier talent with brands.

Despite each other’s busy schedules, the Boulter siblings, Katie and James, make time for each other. The two had a game on March 2023 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Does Katie Have A Sister?

The only sibling Katie Boulter does have is her brother, James. So it is evident that Katie doesn’t have a sister. 

Regardless, she receives much love and support from her brother. James is always the first, either to congratulate on her victories or to soothe her following an injury.

Whereas a sense of rivalry existed when they were younger. Therefore, beating her big brother was a big motivation for Katie.

Katie Boulter Parents: David & Sue 

Boulter, 29, was born on August 1, 1996, to tennis lover parents: David Boulter and Sue Boulter. Her parents are now divorced.

Katie’s mother, Sue, is a former tennis player & former coach. She competed at the county level and even represented Great Britain on a few occasions.

The tennis lineage dates back to her late grandmother Jill actually- she was a regional tennis champion.

Two days after her grandmom’s death, Katie Boulter paid tribute to her with a victory over former No. 1 Karolína Plíšková in the second round of the 2022 Wimbledon Open.

But she later lost to French-born Harmony Tan in the third round.

Katie Boulter began playing tennis at the young age of 5 and was immensely inspired by her mother & grandmother.

The player is still amazed by her mother’s strength, courage, and love. Sue goes to watch her daughter play and cheers her on from the stands.
