The fourth overall pick for the Sacramento Kings of the NBA, Keegan Murray plays as a power forward. He was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for December 2022, becoming the eighth player in team history to garner the award.
He is having the best seasons so far.
Murray had season highs of 29 points while snagging 14 rebounds on January 20, 2023, Friday night against Oklahoma City Thunder for the team’s sixth consecutive win.
With this, he became the first Kings rookie with no less than 29 points and 14 rebounds in a game since 1991, when Lionel Simmons did it.
Even though many criticized Murray early in the season for his lack of focus on the defensive glass, it seems like he has stepped up in a big way.
